Foster with us!
Fostering allows us to take in more animals, and thus help more animals in need at a time! Here are a few reasons to foster:
❤ Fostering helps socialize animals in a home environment, setting them up for lifelong success.
❤ Fostering increases an animal’s chances of getting adopted, as their true personalities come out in a quiet and safe space.
❤ Fostering helps relieve some capacity from other local shelters and rescues.
❤ L&S provides initial supplies and enrichment to get started.
❤ Fostering is rewarding! While bittersweet to see them go to their new home, you get to be part of their happily ever after!
We just ask for 6 months commitment at a time. Fosters must be 18+. Apply today!

Volunteer with us!
As a volunteer, you’ll assist us at vendor booths during events, helping to spread the word about our rescue and connect with fellow animal lovers. Your assistance will help us raise awareness, find loving homes, and support our mission. If you’re passionate about small animals and enjoy interacting with the community, we’d love to have you volunteer for our rescue!
Volunteer tasks include cleaning, feeding, and loving the animals in Cottonball’s Cottage in Frederick, MD as needed, assisting at vendor events, and more! Apply today!
